  1. Dear Sir or Madam,
I contact you in order to offer you my services as a freelance translator and proofreader. As the translator registration links in your website seem to be broken, I can send you my CV, with all the details about my education and experience, including a BA in Translation and Interpreting (Universidade de Vigo, with a year at the University of Ulster) as well as graduate studies in translation and linguistics and 17 years in the trade. In particular, I would like to highlight my language combinations and my specialty fields.
Regarding the former, I translate from English, French and Dutch (both from Belgium and from the Netherlands) into Spanish and Galician (my native languages). For EN>ES I am also a sworn translator accredited by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
As far as my specialty fields are concerned, I usually work with business and commercial texts (webs, catalogues, letters, brochures, materials for tourists, etc.), legal texts (agreements, court decisions, notarial deeds, etc.) and similar areas, such as a sizeable volume of work related to art and museums (exhibition materials, audioguides, talks and presentations, press releases and so on and so forth). Moreover, I have studied music (and I am active as a traditional fiddler) and I have specific training in the world of wine (winegrowing, winemaking, tasting…), beer, spirits, etc. In any case, one of the prerequisites I set for myself is to take only assignments which fall within my competence and to be transparent about it. For me, the priority is to guarantee the accuracy, quality and usability of the final target text, together with maintaining a permanent dialogue with the client.
Should you have any questions or requests, please do not hesitate in letting me know.

    Best regards
    Francisco Táboas
